The High School Musical is a hit Disney movie and a good idea for a party theme.
The The High School Musical is an American television film released in January 20, 2006. The most successful Disney Channel original Movie is a multiple winner of the Emmy Awards. It is so popular that a television sequel was released in 2007, the High School Musical 2. A feature film, the High School Musical 3: Senior Year is scheduled to be released sometime in October 2008.
The High School Musical film is so popular that it became a popular party theme recently. Birthday parties for kids with ages 10 to 20 are using the motif of the High School Musical to brighten up their celebration. Everyone who watched the movie has the urge to act out every scene themselves. The dialogues are so familiar that anyone could echo what the characters have said in a birthday party. The costumes in the movie are a big hit that partygoers would like to wear the same fashion items in parties.
To plan a party with the High School Musical theme, start by creating invitations shaped like megaphones and basketballs. The red and orange colors should be dominant, colors used by the East High School. The Wild Cat Birthday Party would be written together with details on the date, time and venue.
Decorations should also be inspired with the High School Musical theme. Hang pennants of the East High School in your venue. The pennants would have the markers East High School or Wildcats on them.
Make a big banner of red and white. This big banner would announce Welcome Wildcats.
Food ideas taken from High School Musical could be included in the party. Cafeteria style trays can be used in food servings. French fries with chili on the side can be offered to guests, similar to what was spilled on Sharpay. Grilled cheese sandwiches, carrot sticks and other cafeteria style food can be included in the menu. Make available juice and milk in boxes which could be stuck with straws.
Giveaways can also be inspired by the High School Musical film. These could be a book bag or sports bottle. It can also be a personalized compact disc of songs in the soundtrack of the film.
Parlor games could be patterned after those seen in the movie. A backpack relay could be played. It could also be the original scavengers hunt inspired activity just like in the movie. Try a karaoke singing challenge of songs from the movie soundtrack.
